Message Lighter wheel = less rotational mass which means faster...But at the same time you are decreasing the centrifical forces acting on the wheel itself right?

Now I am sure this force wouldnt account for a great deal of anything, but here is my thought..

When you by a decreased weight wheel you loose rotational mass, but less Cent. force acting on the wheel itself, which means not as much gain as you think.

I heard something about this from several friends, and like I said, I don't know if this is right... but it seem like a nice load of BS right? I'm just a pilot, not a physics major....
